P-REX This project is made possible through a $100,000.00 grant from Tiffany & Co. Foundation to aid in the publication of a joint booklet series and development of a web portal between the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Superfund Group (USEPA) and the Project for Reclamation Excellence (P-REX), at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The initial booklet is entitled "Waste To Place" and will launch as a hard booklet publication for broad distribution to mining-effected communities. The booklet will redirect people to a web-based resource portal for those interested in pursuing reclamation of orphaned and highly disturbed sites. The web portal will contain many informational resources and links, and project examples demonstrating the techniques, challenges and success stories of landscape reclamation and reclamation design. www.waste2place.com will be operational by May 2012, and will be managed through a joint collaboration between USEPA and P-REX.Copyright 2010-, P-REX / M.I.T.
